The member is eligible for assistance as a result of the following unforeseen occurrences at the members' normal place of residence.
In the event of a plumbing emergency within the house of permanent residence a plumber will be dispatched. We will cover the cost of a call out fee plus one hour labour. A plumbing emergency is defined as follows: Burst pipes, geysers or other appliances where the flow of water can not be stopped without the intervention of a plumber. Leaking taps are excluded from cover. Any parts replaced will be for the members cost.
In the event of an electrical emergency within the house of permanent residence an electrician will be dispatched. We will cover the cost of a call out fee plus one hour labour. An electrical emergency is defined as follows: An interruption of electricity supply to the house of permanent residence or parts thereof caused by unforeseen household electrical faults. In the event of an appliance fault with respect to white goods only (fridge, freezer, stove, washing machine, and tumble dryer) a service provider will be dispatched to repair the fault. The cost of a call out fee plus one hours labour will be covered. The appliance may have to be removed from the premises to affect the repairs. Any parts replaced will be for the members cost.
In the event of a locksmith emergency at the house of permanent residence a locksmith will be dispatched. We will cover the cost of a call out fee plus one hour labour. A locksmith emergency is defined as follows: Access to the permanent residence being prevented by a loss/breakage of keys. Any parts/locks replaced will be for the members cost.
This provides the member with a comprehensive telephonic referral service when assistance is required outside of the listed benefits. The respective service provider can be dispatched and all costs will be for the members account. Such services included:
