The member is eligible for assistance as a result of the following unforeseen occurrences:
The members' vehicle is rendered inoperable due to a mechanical breakdown. The vehicle will be moved to an applicable dealership. In the event of a dealership not being within 100km of the scene of the breakdown or closed at the time of the breakdown, the vehicle will be towed to an alternative facility deemed secure by the call centre agent at the time of the breakdown having taken place. Secure facilities may include but not be limited to: Alternative mechanical repairers, police stations, members home, storage yards or tow operator yard. Although all necessary precautions are taken to ensure safe storage of vehicles, the member will be liable for any damages as a result of vehicle storage. Additional mileage, beyond 100km radius, at members' request, will be for the members account. Roadside Assistance excludes vehicle towing from the scene of an accident and a breakdown caused by a faulty immobiliser.
Should the member lock his / her keys in a vehicle a locksmith will be sent out to the scene to assist in retrieving the keys. The cost of call out plus one-hour labour will be covered; all key replacements are for the members cost.
Should the member be travelling in a vehicle that is rendered inoperable due to a flat battery a service provider will be dispatched to assist in jump-starting the vehicle. The cost of the call out plus one-hour labour will be covered; any battery replacements are for the members cost. Member eligible for one jump-start per month.
Should the member be travelling in a vehicle that is rendered inoperable due to a flat tyre a service provider will be dispatched to assist in replacing the tyre with the spare wheel. The cost of the call out plus one-hour labour will be covered; any tyre replacements are for the members cost.
Should the member be travelling in a vehicle and run out of fuel along their journey, a service provider will be dispatched to deliver 10 litres of fuel. The cost of the call out plus one-hour labour will be covered; all fuel charges are for the members cost. Outside 100km from destination and point of departure: When the members' vehicle has been towed to the closest dealer as a result of a mechanical breakdown and the member finds himself or herself further than 100km from their end destination and point of departure, the following benefits will apply:
Car hire assistance (Group A or B) to a maximum of R500 per incident, dependent on vehicle availability, for a 24-hour period only.
Vehicle repatriation (maximum limit of R500 per incident). The member's vehicle will be brought back to their normal place of residence or intended destination upon the completion of repairs relating to the mechanical breakdown. The delivery address for the vehicle will solely be determined by the call centre agent.
In the event of a member authorising any service provider to render services, the member will be liable for the cost of service.
